Gemini 3.7 Flash Comes to GitHub Copilot — Admins Must Enable It for Business and Enterprise

GitHub made Gemini 3.7 Flash available in Copilot on August 13, 2026 for Pro, Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise, billed at provider list pricing under usage-based billing. Org admins must enable the policy first.

GitHub announced in its August 13, 2026 changelog that Gemini 3.7 Flash is now available in GitHub Copilot1. It covers Copilot Pro, Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise users, billed at provider list pricing under usage-based billing1. The model can be selected from the model picker in Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Copilot CLI, the GitHub Copilot cloud agent, the GitHub Copilot app, JetBrains, Xcode, and Eclipse1.

According to GitHub, the model has made improvements in web and app development and agentic coding workflows, and delivers improvements in code quality, final-output presentation, codebase research, and verification during complex coding tasks1.

Organizations have a step to take first. Copilot Enterprise and Copilot Business administrators must enable the Gemini 3.7 Flash Preview policy in Copilot settings before anyone in their organization can select it1. The rollout is gradual, so the model may not appear immediately1.
