Custom Connector Support via MCP
Integration with Proprietary Systems
OpenAI now supports Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling integration with enterprise proprietary databases and custom systems1. Enterprise or team workspace administrators can connect custom MCP connectors and make them available to the entire organization.
The demo showed a fictional custom database called “Whisker DB” as an example, demonstrating that enterprise-specific systems can also be integrated into ChatGPT.
Ecosystem Collaboration
Interestingly, the HubSpot connector used in the demo was built by the HubSpot development team, not OpenAI. This represents the first collaboration with ecosystem partners through MCP, suggesting that many more third-party connectors may emerge in the future1.
Introduction of Flexible Pricing
To accommodate diverse usage patterns, OpenAI announced more flexible pricing1. Specifically, a credit system will be added to existing Enterprise and Team workspaces, providing full access to the latest and most advanced model features.
