Cursor announced on August 13, 2026 that the Firetiger team is joining the company1. Founded in 2024, Firetiger builds agents that operate on software once it reaches production — monitoring rollouts, catching regressions, investigating incidents, and passing what they find back to coding agents1. Neither announcement discloses deal terms12.
There is a practical consequence for teams currently using it. Firetiger says on its own blog that joining Cursor means sunsetting Firetiger as an independent product. New signups are closed, active teams have been sent next steps and service end dates, and all user data will be deleted afterward2. The company’s existing product, Change Monitors — agents that track the health of changes in production — helped teams safely push tens of thousands of changes live, it notes2. This follows Cursor’s acquisition of Graphite in extending further down the development lifecycle.
