Cursor Adds Google Workspace Plugins for Gmail, Drive, and Calendar

Cursor's August 3, 2026 changelog adds three plugins covering Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Calendar — drafting and sending mail, creating and updating events, and creating and organizing files from the editor.

Cursor’s changelog for August 3, 2026 introduced three plugins for Google Workspace, saying Cursor can now read, write, and act across a user’s Google Workspace1.

The Google Drive plugin searches files and folders, opens and downloads content, and creates and organizes files1. The Gmail plugin searches and reads mail, drafts and sends messages, and applies labels and manages threads1. The Google Calendar plugin reads schedules, creates and updates events, and finds free time1. The plugins can be browsed in the Cursor Marketplace or installed from the Customize page inside Cursor1.

A tool that began with code completion now reaches into sending email and booking time. Cursor also shipped its iPad app on all paid plans in late July, widening both where it is used and what data it touches. How much of that authority to hand over is a decision made at install time.
