GitHub Ships a Trends Tab for Organization-Wide Code Quality

GitHub added a Trends tab to its organization-level Code Quality dashboard on August 19, 2026. Teams can look back up to 30 days to see whether unresolved findings are rising or falling, and compare repositories. Enterprise Server is excluded.

GitHub said on August 19, 2026, that it has added a tab called Trends to the dashboard where organizations look at code quality¹. Where the view previously showed only the present state, teams can now look backwards and see whether unresolved findings are climbing or falling¹. Three look-back windows are offered — 7, 14, or 30 days — and the chart can be broken out by health score or by severity, with the current count of unresolved findings and the movement since the window opened shown next to it¹. Which repositories are behind the shift appears in tables that rank both the ones improving and the ones getting worse, and narrowing the repository filter at the top of the page carries through to the chart and the tables alike¹.

Access covers the Enterprise Cloud and Team plans with GitHub Code Quality turned on, plus Enterprise Cloud configured with data residency, and it has already reached general availability. Enterprise Server, the self-hosted edition, is excluded¹.
